The Cretan Diet

Water: source of youth
At all times, water is the first principle of youth. It helps maintain tissue hydration and in particular the skin and it is the most potent anticancer drug. Needs are 1.5 liters for women and two for men every day. To maintain the plasma must ensure a minimum water intake of 1.5 to 2 liters per day. Part of the water contained in foods containing food and the other party (minimum 1 liter) should be given as a drink: water, teas, coffee, tea, vegetable broths, and juices.
In periods of high heat losses must be offset (transpiration) that are more important. Similarly, in case of fever, increase intake of 300 ml per degree above 37oC.
