5 Tips to Lose Weight Quickly
Losing weight quickly is a common quest for many people. Unfortunately, there are no miracle solutions, but some items that can tip the scales in your favor. Here are a few to consider:
A support group
If you have people around you who support you, you have a greater chance of success. Recruit your spouse, your sister, a friend, or join one of these groups organized either online or in your city. Being able to discuss your challenges, exchange ideas and sympathize with the problems of others can be a huge help. This helps to put everything in perspective.
Reject all that is negative
Our biggest enemy is often ourselves and that inner voice that hounds us and our “failures”. Realistically, it is very likely and almost certain that there will be days when you cannot help but give in to temptation. After devouring a piece of chocolate cake or bag of chips, do not overwhelm blame. Accept the fact that you have deviated from your diet, try to recognize the reasons and move on. You may find that the negative comments come from those around you. If someone is important to you, try to discover what motivates these comments – jealousy, insecurity, etc… Reassure Explain if necessary. If the person has little importance in your life, try to take your distance, if possible.
Be realistic
Do not set a goal that is unattainable. Lose 30 pounds in three weeks is impossible under normal conditions. The purpose of a pound per week is much more realistic. Set yourself small goals each week that will give you the feeling of accomplishing something concrete: drink at least 8 glasses of water per day, increase your intake of fruits or vegetables in a serving per day to 30 minutes of exercise every day. These mini-goals will help you achieve your ultimate goal, but will not seem impossible to achieve.
Do not become obsessed with numbers
The number you see on the scale is just a number. It is an indicator and does not define who you are. Rate your weight loss based on how your clothes are on the sudden ease up the stairs or tying your shoes, your energy level. These are the best indicators of your success than number on the scale.
Do not try to do everything at the same time
If you attempt to radically change your diet and start exercising at the same time, you will find quickly discouraged. Introduce changes gradually rather small. For example, if your diet requires a complete overhaul, do not give up fries, hamburgers, ice cream and soda at the same time. This will have the effect that you send current to the first fast food restaurant you see. Choose rather to eliminate any of these items from your diet. Replace soda with water or ice cream with a bowl of fruit salad. Once you feel that this element is under control, add another.
Similarly, enter the physical activity gradually. Half an hour walking or swimming three times a week is a good start.
Conclusion
Losing weight is never easy for most people and will always require watching diet and practice more exercises, but if you take into consideration other factors, the experience will be more enjoyable and have a better chance of success.
